Front of House Manager (m/f/d) – Berlin

Location: Berlin

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Front of House Manager to join our team in Berlin-Kreuzberg. In this role, you will lead the FOH team, ensure smooth daily operations, and deliver outstanding guest experiences in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will act as a key link between the service team and the office, contributing to operational excellence and a positive team culture.

Please note: this role involves approximately 70% floor presence and 30% administrative work, so we are looking for someone who enjoys both hands-on service and behind-the-scenes organization.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the Front of House team during daily service
  • Ensure a warm, professional, and consistent guest experience at all times
  • Oversee daily operations, including service flow, floor management, and reservations
  • Create and manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and efficient coverage
  • Train new team members and continuously coach existing staff on service standards and procedures
  • Communicate daily updates, specials, menu changes, and company standards clearly to the team
  • Monitor service quality and proactively resolve guest issues and operational challenges
  • Coordinate closely with the office team on scheduling, payroll-related topics, budgeting, and HR matters
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, hygiene standards, and safety regulations
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and performance-oriented team culture
  • Assist in calculating and fairly assigning tips to employees

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience in hospitality, ideally as a Front of House or Restaurant Manager
  • At least 3 years of experience in hospitality, including a managerial role in a restaurant environment
  • Strong experience in shift planning, team scheduling, and labor management
  • Experience using Lightspeed or similar POS/payment processing systems, or a strong willingness to learn and confidently master Lightspeed (including troubleshooting and taking initiative)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented leadership style
  • Hands-on mentality with a proactive, solution-focused approach
  • High level of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Fluent English and German required; Spanish is a strong plus
